Now that I have my bearings and am back to the real world, I am able to sit and collect my thoughts about what a fun time we had in Erie! From the interesting drive to Pittsburgh with the Otters and Sue, I knew it was going to be quite an event!!! Thanks first to Mags for organizing the un-con. A lot of work goes into it, regardless so your efforts were appreciated. Even the torrential downpour during the parade of sails (I am not sure I have been wetter in my life), plus the laughter, togetherness and discussions were always wonderful. The Apples to Apples game was a lot of fun, so thank you for indulging me in playing. And the zoo was a blast. It was sad to have to say goodbye but we always have to …… Gaby – I appreciate your putting up with me as a roomie. We seem to be compatible! Thanks also to Dave and Susanna for chauffeuring me around, and for carting me back to Pittsburgh and putting me up for the night in order to start the second leg of my trip. Now on to the next once we decide the locale!!

If we are going to Canada next year (Vancouver was also suggested) I'm going to have to learn aboot kilometers and Celsius! While driving around Ontario, I thought I was going the speed limit, but I was getting my doors blown off! It was especially unnerving yesterday morning driving back to Buffalo in the rain! Also when watching the Weather channel, trying to figure out if it's gonna be hot or not made me wish I'd paid more attention in school to converting Celsius to Fahrenheit! ~Phizz We'll translate......... Oh, I have heard Vancouver is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Plus, it is close to where they film Once Upon A Time and near to British Columbia, where my cousin lives! On the other hand, Other hand, Quebec is where our two buddies, Loulou, Mimi reside and we could have them attend and MAYBE get a tour of Loulou's workplace. That and I would LOVE to see the Citadel and more! Have passport and since I paid off my bills completely will have money. Have passport, will travel.

Vancouver is actually in British Columbia, on the lower mainland......and yes, it is gorgeous.......
LouLou and Mimi live in Ottawa, Ontario, which is about a 4-5 hour drive from Quebec City (and across the Ottawa River from the Province of Quebec....) The Citadel is in Quebec City, at the top of the Plains of Abraham......

Thanks to Tracy for a very fun games of Apples to Apples. I'm going to have to get one for home. ~Phizz
...which is what I did a couple days after we got home! We played it an Otter clan gathering last weekend and had a blast! Everybody loved it! Couldn't help but think of you all, though, especially with the cards I held in my hands that could have been the winning ones... in Erie!

Yes sir, it is a fun game. I am hoping that they put out more cards by next year, as I think I have most of the add-on packs. Maybe a 90's or 2000's versions, entertainment, sports, etc. Will definitely bring them to the next con.
