I hope you don't find me overbearing, but I thought, "Officer HH himself" deserves an own thread:
I created my Photobucket-account about 1 day ago, so I haven't uploaded too many pics by now.

YAY! <applauds> Thank you so much - after all, we Lady Barbaras should stick together, shouldn't we? However, I've never collected many pics, let alone upload them to photobucket... So I can hardly help you with pics (though there might be one or two on my LJ and about the same amount on my photobucket) but I'm rough and ready for drooling and swooning duty!

Hihi, yes, especially two German-speaking Lady Barbaras. Remember - the Hornblower in the books didn't like the sound of our language at all. Thanks for the offer - I have many(!) pics , just didn't upload most of them on photobucket until now. I just created the pb-account because I wanted to add a banner to my signature - and to post some pictures. I didn't visit the "old" Horatians site frequently, but I don't remember reading you recently. Have you been one of them who weren't able to enter the page? Enclosed you find a picture of "our husband" and his first wife,..

Enclosed you find a picture of "our husband" and his first wife,.. Ehrm, looooong story. Computer crash earlier this year which lead to further trouble. Once the old site is (hopefully) back, enjoy my long entry about it. I was so overhelmed by the lovely comments from the others once I got back online and later sorted out the problems on the old forum. You know how bad it is to have those troubles and no chance to contact anybody because of lost addresses?! Le sigh. Re our language. Dear me, I know! But no wonder regarding when the first books were written. I still laugh at the whole "Brown" and "Braun" thoughts about how those two names should be pronounced the same. Uhm - no. I really forgot you were German speaking as well. But now it rings a very distant bell. Where are from if I may ask again?

Honestly, I had the vague idea that you might be from Austria but I was unsure. So there are several hundred of km between us. After all, I'm from that city in northern Germany whose cars' number plates all start with HH. Me likes! Oh, and just to add a new pic (of course this banner also contains Sharpe so I suppose it was made for me as well by - whomever. I have to confess I've forgotten it. Sorry, creative banner-fairy, whoever you may be!

I have to admit, that I never read or watched Sharpe - but I like the mix with Hornblower and him on your banners.

LOVE the shots of Ioan!! Nosey, LOVE the Army-Navy game Napoleon style! ~Phizz Thanks! Love it as well but, t.b.h., I had completely forgotten about it as I hadn't entered photobucket for ages until I uploaded some floral pics I took with my new camera. Think it'll be time for a change in signature soon. Probably when we have moved permanently. Until the other old buddies come aboard and recognise us all, I won't change yet, I think.

Chris praises Ioan - did not know they happened to work together again: “Which co-star would you love to work with again? Chris Evans said, “Let’s not base it on acting ability, because that’s impossible, I’ve worked with so many good…phenomenal actors. It’s a blessing to share the screen with them. Let’s go just based on personality and who I got along with, which I guess is probably just as damning. I’m going to say Ioan Gruffudd, the guy who actually played Mr. Fantastic. He’s just hilarious. I’ve never worked with someone…he’s a big kid. He really is like a nine year old, but he’s very positive, very sharp, very funny, and we had very similar senses of humor. He was so much fun, and I did get to work with him again. I worked with him last year in a movie called A Many Splintered Thing. He had a small role, but I got a couple days on set with him. I laughed the whole time.”” bit.ly/1f8NFybNice Pics: GAMA Origins Game Fair 2013: Exclusive Interview with Mr Fantastic Ioan Gruffudd! bit.ly/12xDTTD

I never heard about this one before - it also isn't mentioned on Ioan's page at IMDb. But the movie itself is listed there, also on Chris Evans' site. I really would like to se e Ioan on screen again - no matter if it is a small role. Would be interesting if he really is in the completed (post-production) movie. Let's hope so!

Thanks Shipmate @ IoanZone. Pics from Atlanta. I'm glad my face doesn't show the level of fangirling going on in the picture. Haha! http://instagram.com/p/dpkOWAlVcF # Just got my picture made with Ioan Gruffudd!! He told me that I had a lovely accent!
