Finally home after an 11 hour drive. Probably could have done it in 9 1/2 or 10 hours but there were several shorts stops along the way and a somewhat extended stop in St Augustine to follow up on one possible hotel for next year. Thought the rain would be worse but only had issues driving out of Charleston to I-95 and around Jacksonville.
Got home and the cat and bunnies were waiting for me. Family picked them up earlier in the day and brought them home for me. Nelson my cat is sitting at my feet as I type, snoozing away.
The trip was great as usual and the weather great. No rain until we left today.
Great at seeing everyone. Mayhem did a great job and everyone had a great time. Thanks to her for putting it altogether.
Hope to see everyone in St Augustine next year. Hope you're feeling better Phizz. You were missed.

My drive to Nashville took 10.5 hours. I hope everyone got back home safely. I"m glad you all enjoyed the con. It was a privilege to host, and I had a lot to live up to.

Thank you Estelle and Pam for a wonderful convention! The activities and tours were wonderful and your hard work showed! It was nice to see those whom I haven't seen in years and those whom I just met (Brian and Dave). Our room was great and we all had it down to a science as far as getting up and out for the day! It was a great city to gather, with lots of historic and beautiful places to see. Did anyone else go home and you tube North and South or The Notebook to see the scenes that were shot at Boone Plantation and Calhoun Mansion?! Drive home was ok. Sue -- I too got a lot of rain coming out of Charleston and spots here and there in Florida all along I-95. It only lasted a little while but at one point it was pouring so hard I had the wipers going full blast and it was still hard to see! Recovery day today, but the fur babies were determined not to let me sleep in .....

Made it home last night after a very long day. Looked like I might get stuck in DC because of the bad weather but actually left somewhat on time. Had a blast in Charleston. Definitely up there on my list of most beautiful places I've visited. There is something really special about the city that is very inviting and the people are super friendly.
I'm trying to catch up at home and work so probably won't get a chance to upload pictures until this weekend but will at least try to add to the thread Sandra started when I get the chance.

So wonderful to see everyone! Horatians are the best!
Made it home by 3:15, so about 4 3/4 hours for me. Coupla spots with crazy rain, but not too bad.
Estelle, hip, hip, huzzah for all your hard work!
Cathy, Thank you for the use of your AV equipment and your expertise with setting it all up. You saved the day.
We did hoist a tot in honor of those absent friends. We missed y'all. Hope to see everyone next year in St. Augustine.
Hugs all around!
