A friend of mine is putting together a Hornblower treasure hunt, with the one stipulation that anyone must be able to take part in it, no matter where they are. All the items must have something to do with Hornblower (books and TV series are both admissable).
I've given her some ideas and obviously she has others... and I though that if anyone else could help with ideas it would be you.
And in return I will put up all the details &c when she opens it to run, so that you also may join in. (Fair's fair, after all.)

Sharpie, do you think you could furnish an example, for us to begin thinking with?

Fair enough, HMSCody... I gave her coffee and brioche (as in, ' Nevermore would there be brioche for breakfast'). She has things like a tall ship (allowing a picture or other representation of a ship), turnips and blackcurrant jam. In other words, anything that appears in the Hornblower books or on-screen, that can be found either in itself or in a representation, by people whether on the coast of England or in the Mid-Western US States or anywhere else. It can be as obvious or obscure as you like, so long as there's some link back to Hornblower somehow. Hope that helps. SF

One thing I keep thinking about is an orange. From Fire Ships. Also could represent the fruit that is thrown at them in Duchess and the Devil.
Perhaps a rat or a chicken - tell me if I am off base with this.

Oh, no, you're not off-base at all. Perfectamundo, in fact. SF

Got it! Okay, would you like for us to send them by PM, or here on the forum? In case you and your friend wanted to keep the treasures under wraps until game time.
