Something to keep in mind, Monday, 9 October, is Canadian Thanksgiving, so for those of us in Canada, that would give us an extra day......Quebec City is lovely any time of year.....
If anyone is thinking of starting to accumulate Canadian dollars, it is down at the moment, in the .74-76 range.....it has been fluctuating quite a bit the last few weeks, so it is hard to say what it will do, but it could be worth tracking......

I just voted for QC, but really, Horatians make any place and any time the best!
Missing all of you guys.
A lot.

I got the Duolingo app and it's free. Hey, a little French is better than no French. I also have another app called, Bravolol French that has things they say how do you get to. . , where is the gift shop? That app knows a lady's priorities! LOL!
Go ahead put up the poll for September.
I have cousins, who live in Victoria, British Columbia, but I am looking forward to QC. The pictures look stunning and being with you all is always great.
oh, and ebags has this purse called travelon that has slash proof straps and RFID pockets for your cards. Great for traveling and better yet, on big sales. I just ordered two purses for the price of one! I am debating if I should give one to my friend, Lisa, or just keep both for myself.

Ok so we're looking at:
September 13-18 September 20-24 September 27-October 2
And if we want to venture more into October:
October 4-9 October 11-16 October 18-23
I am not sure if most folks said they preferred September only. I'd have to go back and re-read this thread and the old one.

Sept. 6-11 is close enough to Labor Day that it might be more expensive to travel for those of us in the U.S. We'd have good leaf-peeping on the later dates.

Any date works for me although I would prefer not to do Sept. 6-11. It is my sons birthday that week and I missed it last year when I was in Erie... I'm a baaad mom. LOL!

You guys have a great point. We're attending a reunion up in NY the weekend after July 4th and the fares are way more expensive than normal! So let's nix that week and I will remove it from the list.
I did check Air Canada and their fares in September to QC are pretty reasonable IMO, even from Florida! Yeah.
Oh and that gorgeous hotel (the Chateau?) has high tea .....

Best time to see Fall Colours in Quebec City would be late September to mid October........Labour Day travel may also be pricey from locations in Canada.

Afternoon tea Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. $41 CAD per adult, taxes and service not included.
And the hotel rates and restaurant prices .... whoa! But it is a gorgeous hotel. May just require a walk through.

Definitely go through it.....lots of shops and the lobby bar has a fantastic view of the river......then go out onto the Dufferin Terrace to walk all the way to Citadel.....

Love to have high tea at the Frontenac. I would be willing to pay for it.

P.S. I mean for all of us.

Same here. With the whole "uncon" concept, we could make it optional. Whoever wants to go, goes, and pays for it.
I stayed at the Vancouver Fairmont for the JASNA AGM...it was nice but not cheap, though of course we had a group rate (and a somewhat favorable exchange rate). It would be cool to stay there, but probably difficult for everyone to manage cost-wise. I suspect the Frontenac is more expensive than the Vancouver Fairmont. (though the Vancouver hotel had a resident Golden Retriever!)
Wait, Phizz, just noticed your P.S. ...you are amazing and awesome.

Honestly, Sept 6-11 is not really good. For me it's back to school and not sure how that will affect the work schedule. Saw some people saying that and Ship said that it's her kid's (garçon's) Birthday. Also, Bucky didn't list that week and Liz said that you can't really see the fall foliage. I say late September for the foliage and perhaps I can get a free mixed drink as a birthday present from you all because my birthday is October 3. 😊
I love the idea of going to high tea and don't mind paying, either. It sounds like fun. My French is coming along slowly. I am noticing things and I think I may be able to figure things out if I see them. Speech, well I have to hit my slow button on my app. Still have 7 months of practice.
