I like the Victoria one. I think we can get the most bang for the buck with that one.

Nice -- those hotels look beautiful. Did you see the pool on the Hotel Manoir Victoria? That would be a fun one to play Marco Polo in ..... just sayin'
Am assuming we won't need to do a conference room again this year? Last year was kind of fluky since we hung out overtook on the patio in Erie. I plan on bringing some games again. Always good for a few laughs.
I bought the dice game we had so much fun with to play with the family and they didn't like like it. They did like Uno and Rumy.

Always good for a few laughs. I don't know about the conference room. I didn't get one last year because I figured we had suites that we could pack into, and the patio as you mentioned. I guess we need to figure out if there are public areas of some kind we could invade, and if we want to do movie & pizza night (movie & poutine night?) No one is Captain this year...Is this the Black Bloody Mutiny con? LOL! I would be a little concerned because it looks like we will need more rooms than we have the past couple of years if our Canadian friends will be joining us, and these are smallish hotels. Possibly best to call ahead and see if we can get a small block of rooms or at least book really early.

I agree Mags. Once we get the dates nailed down we can check the hotels and see what they have to offer as far as group areas.
Air Canada is having a sale but purchase has to be by March 2nd. Am sure they will have plenty of other sales between now and the (hopefully).
Anyone in contact with Jan anymore? I haven't really had any contact since Charleston and am not sure she comes on the boards anymore.

This one gave a price of five nights, around $900 (US), for a two-queen-bed room, which is less than $200 a night unless my math skills are bad and that's entirely possible. The rooms had mini-fridges, too. Both of those seem to be located in Old Quebec--the second one is right near the funicular from what I could tell on the map. I asked Loulou about the Hotel Manoir Victoria and she gave it a glowing review and said it was in the middle of every thing. Well not in the middle, but near.

I got my Quebec City Visitor Guide today. Lots of stuff to peruse and am reading it now. Good information and ideas of things to do. Wow did you see how big some of those beer bottles are? Just like wine bottles ...... I posted about people getting their vote in over at FB.

Upon closer inspection, the second hotel only has 6 rooms, so that's out. But the Manoir Victoria is still in the running.
That was just a quick look at Trip Advisor. I'm sure there are other hotels we can consider.

Can you add the votes onto here? It won't allow any more voting if you already cast your votes (at least on my end).
I highly recommend ordering a visitor's guide, although you have to have a map handy to know where some of these places are in relating to Old QC!

Good news for me, my tax refund will definitely let me come. We got to get things moving, so I took my vote away and broke the tie. I was also thinking that hotel manior Victoria is the nicest for the price. 🤗😊👍🏻

Sweet! I am good with the week and the hotel for sure! Now I can get that time in on the calendar before anyone else.
Was anyone planning on travelling after the un-con? I am going to weigh my options on flying into Montreal as opposed to QC and it is cheaper to fly mid-week so I probably won't be flying back until Tuesday or Wednesday.

So...September 13 was never in play? It seems to have the most votes. It would be a little better for me. I have an event on Sept. 24, I can skip it but I don't want to.
