Please vote for the date(s) that work(s) best for you. I have allowed up to 3 votes per person as I know many of us have flexibility.

Me as well. So far the calendar is open but once the dates are selected I have to get them into HR to be first one the list for coverage!

I just voted for three, but I think we can work around any of those dates.
Quebec City looks great!

Early to mid September tends to work best for me. School gets serious later in the month.

Wow close voting going on!
Found this deal that may be a hotel we can consider (with or without the discount): Quebec City Clarion Hotel and Conference Center The pictures are nice and the price is good (normally about $115+). There is also Hotel PUR.

There is also Hotel PUR. Not a good idea. It is way out in Ste Foy and you'd need transportation to the City Centre. Ste Foy is a suburb without much in it.......you want Old Quebec......

Dammit -- that keeps tripping me up even when I punch in Quebec City! Strike that. I knew the price should have given it away that it wasn't near where we need to be. Rats. I do notice, though, that a lot of hotels only offer 1 bed per room. Is that the norm? Hey Liz -- is this like Toronto where you have one main place that you have to get your liquor?

A lot of the hotels in the Old Quarter are smaller hotels in old buildings with smaller rooms, so there are probably more than normal with one bed........I don't know if it will be a factor, but most of the places in older buildings won't have parking......I'll take a look at hotels tonight and see what I can find......if you want modern with bigger rooms, you have to be outside the City Walls, but there are a few, like the Chateau Laurier (not the one in Ottawa) and a Hilton which would be close enough to be workable
For hard liquor, yes, you have to go to the SAQ (Societie d'Alchol de Quebec), however beer and wine is available in the depennieurs (sp?), aka convenience stores. SAQ also stocks beer and wine and has a better selection......Quebec also has a number of restaurants which are bring your own bottle (they would charge a small corkage fee).........
Cheers

The Concorde and the Delta would probably be the better choices as they are near the Citadel and Plains of Abraham......

The Marriots are going to be out of our price range, I fear. I do not do four to a room anymore, nor do I sleep on a foldaway cot. I am way too old for that ish. Sorry guys, I love you all but not that much. Here's one that was $265 (US) for a room with two beds, up to four people, for the middle of September. This one gave a price of five nights, around $900 (US), for a two-queen-bed room, which is less than $200 a night unless my math skills are bad and that's entirely possible. The rooms had mini-fridges, too. Both of those seem to be located in Old Quebec--the second one is right near the funicular from what I could tell on the map.

These are both good locations and far more ambiance.......and I'm with Mags.........proper, comfy bed, please.......

Nice -- those hotels look beautiful. Did you see the pool on the Hotel Manoir Victoria? That would be a fun one to play Marco Polo in ..... just sayin'
Am assuming we won't need to do a conference room again this year? Last year was kind of fluky since we hung out overtook on the patio in Erie. I plan on bringing some games again. Always good for a few laughs.
