Based on the activities that have been booked, I put a tentative schedule together. Not cast in concrete but I thought it would help to serve as a guideline and would give those who are arriving a little earlier an idea of the things we might want to do together so they can plan their time accordingly. Feel free to make suggestions and changes.
The tourist information kiosk/center seems to be the departure point for a lot of the tours and activities. It is located in front of the Place D’Armes by the Châteaux Frontenac, just a few blocks from our hotel.
Thursday – September 21
Hop On Hop Off bus tour (optional)
Buses departures are from 8:00AM to 4:00PM from the tourist information kiosk.
We could visit the Saint-Louis Forts and Châteaux National Historic Site in the morning. They have daily guided tours that last 45 minutes. The English tour is at 10:15AM.
In the afternoon we could check out Parliament Hill and finish in the Rue Saint-Jean area, where our hotel is located. We could even have dinner some place around there.
Friday – September 22
In the morning we could head down to the Place Royale and Petit Champlain area. We could grab a quick bite someplace down there for lunch and take the funicular back to the Châteaux Frontenac for our tea in the afternoon at 3:00PM. After tea we could check out the area around the Citadelle before our evening tour at 7:30PM.
Saturday – September 23
Our walking tour starts at the tourist information center at 10:00AM. We can grab a bite to eat wherever the tour ends. For those of us who expressed interest in the cruise, we could do that in the afternoon. It looks like there are a couple of different ones and tickets can be purchased at the tourist information center.
Sunday – September 24
We can leave this day as free time since there are several people who will be leaving on Sunday. The rest of us can decide on what to do based on whatever we didn’t get a chance to do earlier.
What do you guys think?
