That whole segment is beautiful! But Ioan's reading is positively smouldering.

Lovely! One of my favorite poems. The TV show sounds kind of awesome. I would definitely watch and not just for Ioan. But, see avatar.

>>Lovely! One of my favorite poems.<<
Ioan also recites this poem on the wonderful CD: "Seven Ages - An Anthology of Poetry with Music". He also reads: "Under Milk Wood" (Dylan Thomas again) and: "The Collier" (Vernon Watkins) on it. Myself likes "The Collier" even more than the Dylan Thomas poems. I listen to this CD quite often (mostly on my MP3-player) and always enjoy it a lot. Very beautiful and smooth to your ears. If you like poetry and great voices (besides Ioan there are also Dame Judy Dench, Charles Dance, Michael Caine, Sir Ian MacKellen and many more. For the Pellew-fans among you also Robert Lindsay,... ) I really can recommend it to you. I think listening to this CD will not hurt you ears - quite the opposite!

Waiting patiently for Glee to come back on the telly. I love Ioan's little cameos.

I thought this was up here already, but maybe that was on the old forum? Anyway, Ioan speaking Welsh and reading a poem, from many years ago. Crappy picture quality, but his voice... This is weird, but I actually love the fact that he's got a first language other than English. Maybe it's because I'm an ESL myself. I went looking to see if there were any videos of him singing, since he is apparently good at it. The only thing that came up was this, but at least he looks cute.

There is a clip of him singing "Amazing Grace" from the movie of the same name ... the quality of the clip I saw was not good, but it did give some idea of his gorgeous singing voice.

Probably the ESOL-factor was one of the things that attracted me most as well. And as for "maaaaaan with a guuuuun" - this is one of my favourite scenes from Very Annie Mary! It's one of those small things that always put a smile on my face, no matter how bad I feel. And I'm quite sure that I'll be singing it along with a friend when she comes up north in June. I only fear that we might scare her sister (+ children).
