Some of our Hornblower friends have made appearances in various versions of 'A Christmas Carol'--plus a couple of other items---
Ian McNeice as Mr. Fezziwig in the @1999 version starring Patrick Stewart. Richard E Grant is Bob Cratchit. David Warner is Bob Cratchit in the @1984 version starring George C. Scott. Also, Angela Pleasance (daughter of Donald) is the Ghost of Christmas Past. She known for being Mrs. Bertram in MANSFIELD PLACE.
I would also like to mention that David Colling, known as Mr. Shepherd (Mrs. Clay's father) in PERSUASION, is the singing Bob Cratchit in the 1970 musical SCROOGE which stars Albert Finney.
Lastly, I saw Greer Garson (Elizabeth Bennet in 1940 PRIDE AND PREJUDICE) on one of those Red Skelton Christmas specials; And she is the narrator in the claymation production of THE LITTLE DRUMMER BOY.
Yours Aye,
Diane

Loved Ian McNeice in the Patrick Stewart "A Christmas Carol"! Also was very happy to see his appearances as Winston Churchill in Dr. Who.
Ohhh yes, Greer Garson. What a voice! I LOVED her narration of The Little Drummer Boy, that program having been a particular favorite of ours when we were kids. I wish they would show that one again. Unfortunately, they seem to have retired it.
Warm Christmas wishes, Michele
