Yeah, we've all been there. " I am going to eat less, exercise more and blah blah blah." But for some of us, it is easier when there is a support system in place to keep on track. I know when I was on Weight Watchers, I liked the accountability for having to step on that scale. However, WW is not in my budget anymore and I have been doing Atkins on my own, but I still step on that scale every Tuesday morning. I keep telling myself I am only lying to myself if I don't log the true weight that the scale shows! So, my new year's resolutions are to exercise more and get completely back on the diet wagon (have gained and lost the same 5 pounds the last couple of months). I plan to start tracking my food and exercise regularly on My Fitness Pal again. It is such a benefit to logging that information. Anyone want to join forces and spur each other on? Look fit and fab in 2014?!!!

Yeah, me too! I also want to put my age on a diet. I'd like to lose about 5 years. At least.

I think we'd all like to be like Benjamin Button and reverse the aging process!
So far, I've gotten two work outs in, but need to commit to doing at least 3 a week.
Trying to make good decisions when faced with yummy, non-diet friendly choices.

That is hard to do when you have a hubby that went to Sam's yesterday and brought back a huge tub of honey roasted peanuts, muffins, sub rolls and their yummy chicken salad. Ugh. So much easier when I was single!
After a half-hearted effort (didn't stock the fridge well enough), I am going back fully onto the wagon this week! No excuses this time. Went to the grocery and got my meal plan items.

I am trying to loose the extra stone (14 lbs) I have gained in last few years since our wedding. Problem is with an almost underweight husband & a 2 yr old it isn't easy to resist temptations. However I am trying 5.2 regime which will probably work better for me given I do most of cooking as I am currently at home. First 'fast' day today which wasn't as bad as I thought.
Have to agree Bucky that Myfitnesspal is a brilliant app. I had started before a young man arrived to use it to track what I was doing. Workouts at the moment just will not happen. However I have lost some of the extra I had put on recently chasing said 2 yr old around.....

I am not exactly trying to lose weight but I want to eat less sugar and sugary things. So I have made a deal with myself that I am only allowed to eat chocolate/sweets that are given to me; I am not allowed to buy any for myself. Exceptions are festivities of all kinds and when I invite friends over and the occasional chocolate bar (just 1!!!) that I am allowed to buy at the cafeteria if lunch was once again inedible. So far, it works rather well - but of course I still have my stack of Christmas chocolate at home...

It is very hard with others in a household! I am having moments of brilliance in my willpower, and then down-right craptastic decisions of indulgence! Determined to keep it on the level and start the losing again. Time to buckle down and get serious.

Several options you might consider regarding the chocolate--give it away, throw it out or freeze it (hide it from yourself). Good luck! Yours Aye, Diane

So..... I decided to make a chicken cassoulet. With navy beans.
And since it was my first time with dried navy beans, I had to read the directions on how to quick soak, giggling incessantly because I am a Horatian.
