The HHUS 2014 St Augustine website is up and running! Three Cheers for shipoftheline!!! hornblowergatherings.com/hhus/hhus.htm. The schedule posted on the site is TENTATIVE. I tried grouping activities that are geographically close together to make travel easier as a group. I also tried to accommodate requests for more free time. I have 2 "traditional" con days when we spend lots of time together and 2 days where you get to explore mostly on your own. The activities may switch to different days, example, Friday's schedule may be moved to Saturday, etc. It will all depend on our final numbers when I go to finalize group bookings. The registration form can accommodate 2 attendees. You can also request a free group photo(emailed) and a t-shirt at additional cost. If you want more than 1 t-shirt, please place the request in the comments section. List the size being requested. The registration page requires a password. The password is "horry". I want to thank everyone for their patience. Shipoftheline and I had a lot of things pop up that delayed getting the site up. But we're up and running and ready to head to St Augustine. The registration deadline in Aug 4 2014. Also don't forget hotel reservations. If you have any questions forward them to the contact link on the web page. If there's some info that would benefit everyone, I'll pass it along. See you in St Augustine!!!!!

Made my mark and registered. I went on the site earlier today and it said St. Augustine was 77 degrees and tonight it is 78 degrees. Most places the temp goes DOWN and not up for the night. LOL!!!! If the ocean breezes in Florida are anything like the ocean breezes in Jersey, I will need both Fall and Summer clothes. Question -- are there any rooms with a sofa bed or are the rooms with just a bed, a desk, dresser and bathroom? Just wondering.

None of the regular rooms have a sofa bed. I think the only exception might be the family suite. It has a sofa in the living room. I can double check and find out if you like.

Unfortunately at this time, I am out of attending HH2014. Several factors have come into play for myself (money and time-wise), but also the people I was planning on rooming with cannot attend until Friday and, with most of the tours being concluded by the time of our arrival, it will not make any sense to pay the full registration fee to us. Sorry. Not what I had planned because I really wanted to attend the entire convention but things are so that I probably could not be certain sure of my attendance until well past the registration deadline. The three of us, however, are still thinking of heading over for a long weekend to explore on our own since it is in our own backyard, so to speak. Maybe a drink and/or meal to say hello during the free time on the schedule might be arranged while we are all there. The website looks grand Ship!

Bucky, the schedule is not set in stone. It's very likely I will move most of Friday's activities to Saturday due to the availability of the conference room. That mean's we would only do 1 group activity on Friday. I realize the schedule was front heavy so moving things will balance it out and help with the conference room issues. If I didn't charge for Thursday, it would only take off about 20-30 dollars off the registration fee. This doesn't include the welcome lunch/dinner as that might get moved to Friday as well.
Is there someone else you could share a room? I noticed a roomate thread hasn't started up yet. Maybe you could begin it and see it anyone else wants to share.
I'd hate for you to not come since you're close by.

Even if the schedule changes, things are going on that have to get completed/resolved before I can commit. I am in the midst of a refi my condo, I just got a speeding ticket (OMG I cannot believe how expensive they are - it's been 25 years since I had one!). I really won't have excess spending funds now until at least the beginning of September. So by then, it is well past the registration date and probably everyone will have their rooms all set.
The timing sucks but it is what it is.
