I'm sitting in Meehan's Irish Pub with a Smithwick's in front of me thinking of you all and what a great time we had in St. Augustine! It's cloudy and cool and the bay has whitecaps. Wish you all could be here!

I am in the process of downloading my pictures to my photobucket account. Random thoughts about the trip - in general - I LOVE Florida! I love the people there (they are so nice), I love the weather (even if it is a bit hot and you get sweaty), but there is one thing I don't like - the roads. I rented a car and got MASSIVELY lost on the way down to St. Augustine from Jacksonville. When I finally got in St. Augustine, I went up and down the A1A and found it was a hoot that the restaurant next to our hotel had a sign that said it was "Somewhere on A1A". Downloaded the map app that Pam said to download and it helped UNTIL my phone got to 20% and then it died RIGHT before I got to the airport. Good news - the plane was delayed so, I didn't miss my flight. Bad News - I had no way of telling my family the plane was late, but somehow talked to someone who let me do a quick text from his phone to tell me Mom about the flight. You could say I had an adventure. This morning, I was in my PJs about to relax on my last day of vacation, when work called. They changed my schedule without telling me and cheated me out of my last day. I was a bit floored and mind blown - so the supervisor manager said I could leave home early to get my mind at ease and unpack and all. That was sweet of him, don't you think?
Now for the other thoughts - I was going to write this little travelogue before being called into work and now just the fun bits.
LOVED being with everyone! Having the small group was nice, we hung out together and had so much fun. As with other gatherings we walked and walked. I loved how we all said -"And we are walking, we are walking" I was surprised in myself that I could keep up and not get tired. I guess that time spent on the treadmill wasn't wasted. ;-) I enjoyed everything and it is hard to pick just one - so in the top was the chocolate factory tour - free chocolate! There was the sail that five of us went on. I love going on sails - it would be a dream to go on a sail on one of those boats and go down to the Caribbean or something (as long as I have a crew to man the ship). The boarding house was really cool, as was Flagler College - imagine being one of the rich ladies who got to spend time there? The fort was really nice, the volunteers there made it really special. Talking about the tour guides - all of them were great! I loved our tour guide at the Colonial Village. She was spunky and always had a smile. I did get to see that Military Hospital Museum with Suanne, Phizz and Estelle. I loved that place - I love hearing about early medicine and all and they did a good job. Made me want to make my fictional doctors Spanish because they seemed to do things that helped more patients than other countries.
We all noticed that the movies brought us together, but friendships kept us together. I truly love you all and I thank the internet for bringing us together. Hugs all around!

Yep, what she said! We had a great time!
Meanwhile, back in Otterville, still trying to catch up with work and getting over UK jet lag.
Would love to meet you all for a beer at the Sunset Grille. Sigh.
