How did you like "Death comes to Pemberley?" I usually like PD James, but I thought this was awful! I thought it dragged. The Matthews were nice to look at. :-)

How did you like "Death comes to Pemberley?" I usually like PD James, but I thought this was awful! What Jamers said. Pretty to look at, GREAT cast, but nearly as boring as the book. Pride and Prejudice in any incarnation should make me laugh, and not just at the gentlemen's wigs. Also, WE ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO LIKE WICKHAM, STOP MAKING ME LIKE YOU, MATTHEW GOODE ETA: Also, plot holes you could turn a tractor-trailer around in were unfortunately imported from the book. I was seduced by the pretty (I actually like Chatsworth as Pemberley in this--it looks proper, no classical sculpture galleries FFS, though as one wag pointed out on Twitter, it would have been funny if the Macfadyen bust showed up in the background somewhere) and I have to admit I like Anna Maxwell Martin in just about anything including Becoming Jane which I otherwise despise, and I didn't even notice she was a blue-eyed Lizzy until someone pointed it out on Twitter. Also I really did find the wigs entertaining. Congratulations to the Giants!

I remember watching it a while back and thinking it was ok even though I do like the Matthews and AMM. The darkness didn't suit.

Finally saw this. Actually, snored through it. Too predictable, too 21st century.
Won't be wasting my $$ on this.
Yours Aye,
