While most of the United States recognizes July 4th as Independence Day, enlightened Americans also know that the awesomeness of the day is compounded by the fact that C.S. Forester gave one Horatio Hornblower the birthdate July 4, 1776. So, even if you don't hail from Columbia, if you are among those who count Horatio Hornblower as a favorite (and, by virtue of the fact that you're here, I assume that you do... ), you have a reason to join in the celebrations! Unity through Hornblower! Huzzah! Happy July 4th everyone! (And happy birthday, Horatio!)
