I myself prefer the Sugar in the Raw/Monkfruit sweetener for my tea. I've researched online looking for articles talking about this sweetener, whether it is a better/healthy alternative to splenda, sweet n low, etc......
Everything I've found so far, and if anyone has seen reports about it to the negative please share the link so I can read it, says it's a safe alternative.
I read an article online on Monday talking about only eating two meals a day, whether you want to skip breakfast or dinner, it's best to skip on of them (not including children and teens, they need their three squares) I typically only eat two meals a day as it is, have never been a huge breakfast fan so mainly skip it in preference for a brunch type meal around noon but sometimes as late as 3:00p.m. depending on how busy I've been that day, so I have decided to be a bit more strict with this idea, and skip the in-between snacks and munchies as well, and just basically stick to two meals a day...period. I can tell you, I've been more excited about eating that first meal of the day since!!! hahahahaha!!!
Another interesting point that was pointed out in the article...I've known friends who have done Jenny Craig, and Nutri-System, and others, they encourage multiple small meals/snacks through out the day. This article pointed out that this just conditions your body to expect constant eating/feeding and then after you go off the diet, you gain all the weight back and more because you have been conditioned to eat all day long. I always thought this made good sense, eat nutritious snacks through out the day so that you stay full and are less prone to eat un-healthy food. Anyway...some "food for thought"
I will report back and let you know if I notice any significant weight loss with this approach.
The article also talked about not eating anything within 4 hours of your bed time, and the author prefers 8 hours before bed time...YIKES! That might be a bit harder to adhere to!
