If so, please let me know the date and time by responding to this thread. (any before this was posted, don't worry about--I'm only interested in future occurrences.)

Hi, Mags. I just got error message 520 again, trying to go into a specific thread. I used the back arrow, tried again, and got into the thread.
Cheers

These error messages are quite interesting. Now that I'm periodically receiving them I'll take note. I received 2 different ones within the last 45 minutes. (Sunday, Sept. 22) The first was a duplicate of the one I mentioned in Shoutbox but this time I wrote down the details as follows: This message took up a full screen. ProBoards was at the top left hand side and underneath was a cartoon blue bear growling as well as a cartoony guy wearing glasses and a startled look. On the right hand side of the screen was a box containing the following: Sorry! We appear to be experiencing issues at the moment. Try loading this page in just a bit. If this problem persists, please report it to us on the Support Forum.
For help, or to report any issues you're currently having please visit the ProBoards Support Forum.
Web server is returning an unknown error.
There is an unknown connection issue between CloudFlare and the origin web server. As a result, the web page can not be displayed.
If you are a visitor of this website: Please try again in a few minutes,.
If you are the owner of this website: There is an issue between CloudFlare's cache and your origin web server. CloudFlare monitors for these errors and automatically investigates the cause. To help support the investigation, you can pull the corresponding error log from your web server and submit it (to) our support team. Please include the Ray ID (which is at the bottom of this error page).

The second error message was a small box, about 1 1/2 " square on the screen and said: JS Error: TypeError: Cannot read property 'options' of undefined (That last one seems pretty cryptic to me. ) Until this week I hadn't received any error messages at all, either on my tablets or laptop.

It doesn't rain, it pours. I just now got a variation of the Error 520 when I visited the Charleston thread. This one is shorter than the the other but says the same thing with different graphics:
Error 520
Web server is returning an unknown error.
3 graphics that show the connection between me, Chicago CloudFlare and horatians.freeforums.net; it shows my browser Working, Chicago CloudFlare Working but horatians.freeforums.net (Host) as Error

I just got that error message (as described above by mmt) for the first time. Monday September 23 1:42 pm Central Time. I got around it by taking the error message URL (everything after freeforums dot net backslash login backslash) out of the URL, then hitting Enter. Took me right to the forums. However, I got it again while trying to view a thread; I took it out again, hit enter, then came straight here.
Now we'll see if it lets me post.

Okay, the sysadmin looked over the thread and seems to think this is a temporary thing. They asked us to let them know if it picks up in frequency. For those having problems, I'm going to suggest clearing your cache. For Windows machines, hold down Control and hit F5 a few times. That might help. If you have Macs, I'll have to Google for that, sorry.
