So who's up for Portsmouth 2018; we could also include Greenwich, of course, and the FAA museum is nearby for those who want some more modern seafaring stories - and of course, partying!!

I just voted 'not sure - want to see...'. I would love to go back to the UK and hope something gets off the ground.

How about "it depends on when"? My school schedule pretty much dictates whether I can get away or not.

Yes, all depends what happening in my calendar, as long at it doesn't clash too much with work and WW1 things, 1918-2018 I see being a busy year.

Are we looking around the same time of the year as usual? September or October?

September or October is okay, but school schedules might clash. July is a good month, too, but I would advise staying away from Aug as it will be very crowded. In the off-peak months, you get a guided tour of the Victory and it is more intimate - probably of the Warrior as well. Also I will mention that the Mary Rose is now open - it's been in it's new home now for a few years - absolutely fabulous museum - and now the glass is away and it is open for all to see, even though it is only a piece of rotten wood! (Was just in Portsmouth this morning.)

Not sure where I'll be then job-wise, but if there will be something as "close" to me as the UK, then I would definitely consider attending.

Like Alaniel, I'm not sure where I'll be jobwise next summer and it also depends on the timeframe, but I'd love to come if the stars align favourably. It's been too long since my last moot!

Not sure what's happening on the job-front for me, but it's definitely close enough to me to be able to do, and if I can't afford a room with you guys in a B&B I'm pretty sure I can stop over with my brother and S-I-L.
I think the RM Museum will be in the Dockyard too by that point, and that's something else that might be of interest to people (other than myself, I mean.)

Portsmouth in 2018 would work for me. As Gaby mentioned, knowing the dates well ahead of time will make planning and saving for the event easier.

Just wanted to put forward that the HMS Victory is open for booking private functions - you can book Nelson's great cabin, Hardy's cabin, the lower gun deck or the quarterdeck. See historic dockyard.co.uk

Might be too early to say, but...any idea if this is still on? I'm trying to plan my travel for 2018!

Just checked airfare and it was $610 economy from Philadelphia, which is cheaper than it has been in a long time. I ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Going to London and Portsmouth. I would also love to see Cornwall as a side trip. This is still a pipe dream in my mind, though.

Depends on several factors. Would love to go, no doubt about that. But not sure about my work situation. My long term contract job just ended and I'm looking for a new one. Hopefully will be working soon. Will depend on work.

I would love to go too, but two of my nephews just got engaged and while one wedding I know will be next year, the other just sent out the Save the Date to everyone. Which kind of surprised me since they just got engaged the first weekend in January and had no clue what, when, etc. Then bam -- she's already got her dress!
So would this mean the moot would be in UK and not the US if this is a go?
