Hello everyone!
Came across this site whilst trying to see online opinions behind the whole Captain Sawyer gravity mystery! It's a puzzle that's bugging me ever since I first came across Hornblower as a young, Napoleonic, Navy and History obsessed 7 year old and my parents deemed it suitable for me to view on release! I'd just like to say hello to everyone on here and say that it's a pleasure to be in the company of like minded people over what is in my opinion a superb book series and a criminally underrated TV series, much better than 99% of the drivel that you see on TV nowadays.
I've recently rediscovered the series whilst in my final year at University and it still strikes me with all the same chords as it did back then (and reminded me of my lifelong ambition as a 7 year old to join the navy, I since chose a rather more mundane life as a microbiologist!).
But that's more or less it, just wanted to pop my head round the door and say hello, big fan of the whole period (Sharpe is probably the only historical character I prefer over dear Horatio) and most other areas of history, look forward to sharing opinions with you all on here.
Cheers,
Matt.

Well Aboard!
I'm just rewatching the series and saw Mutiny again today, don't know if I want to see Retribution again, because of what happens to Archie! (sniffs!) The debate over whether Captain Sawyer was pushed or fell is a constant on here, but its always fun to read everyone's opinions.
Hope you enjoy exploring the boards.
