I think the cruise on the st Lawrence would be cool! If you don't mind doing the foot work.
I am coming into Quebec on Tuesday around 1 pm. Anyone else coming then? I did Tuesday because that is a cheap travel day.

I'm up for sharing a cab from the airport Pam. We can coordinate when the time gets closer. We can start catching up on the way to the hotel. Woohoo!

Will make our hotel reservation this week. Promise (real life took over!). Also am going to go through the visitor guide I got and see what there is to do.
I took 5 years of French but when you don't use it, you lose it. Anyone planning on getting a translation guide?!
Still working on my flights. Now that the dust has settled at work, it is easier to make those plans now. Yeah!
68 days to go! 63 days to go now! 😎👍🏻 I got a translator on my phone, not sure how it will help, but better than nothing.

A cruise sounds fun as well!
Is anyone else planning on arriving on Tuesday or the majority arriving on Wednesday? I still need to book flights.

I'm coming in on Tuesday, not sure of time, but probably late as I'm coming from the West Coast

If we were in Quebec City today, we could have seen the Tall Ships with Justin Trudeau and family:

Get the Duolingo app now and start learning French! Or brushing up, as the case may be. When I was in Montreal, everyone I encountered spoke English. I daresay Quebec City is no different. However, in Montreal you were greeted, "Bonjourhello," all one word like that. If you answer "Hello," they speak to you in English. If you answer "Bonjour," they speak to you in French. Don't try to be polite and answer Bonjour if you don't really speak French. In Quebec City, which is more Francophone, they led with French, but you can ask if they speak English. ("Parlez-vous anglais?") The one time I attempted to have a slight conversation in French was in a restaurant--the host asked "Table pour deux?" (Table for two?) which I figured I could handle, and responded, "Oui, deux, merci," and after that he spoke to me in English, so there you go. (MY ACCENT IS TERRIBLE) That being said, after four days in Quebec, even with my very limited French, I was no longer translating signs in my head. Immersion works!

Just an FYI -- I just tried to reserve our room by speaking with Dorothy (since she is most familiar with our group, and I want to make sure we get the rate we are supposed to). She is out until August 7th so you'll have to speak to whomever is covering for her in the meantime. I was asked to call back tomorrow or next week to do so. Plan on circling back with Dorothy after the 7th just to make sure all the information/rates are correct.
Still working on my flights. Can't seem to find many direct flights (most go to Montreal first and then switch planes) so still debating on whether to fly there and take the train but will probably suck it up and just fly into QC to make it easier.

Just made our reservation and they knew right away the rate and what I was talking about. They have probably received a few of them by now.
So excited!!

45 days to go until we are in Quebec! And 30 days to beable to reserve your room at the hotel!
I told Dorothy at the hotel to hold the rooms until September 5, 2017
Can't wait to see everyone again!
Also --- I was wondering if anyone else was bring an iPad or something like that. I was going to leave it at home, but part of me wants to bring it, even if I have to pull it out for security.
Plus --- I found that my local Giant supermarket has Tim Tams! Should I bring 3 or 4 boxes? I will wrap them in my check luggage and hope the Beagle patrol doesn't get me.
