Ladies and gents, a couple of links, one for a cruise, which happens to go by Montmorency Falls, and the other a half day trip to the Falls. Both seem reasonable, figured everyone could check these out ahead of time and when we get there we could decide if we wanna go one day and get the tix that day.
The Visit a City website has 1-4 day options for activities to do while there. When we went to New Orleans in the spring, we found it pretty handy.
Can't wait to see everyone! Sandra and I get in on Wed. Our room has been reserved.

I cannot believe we are this close!
Those tours look really cool Pam. I'm in. Wonder if we have enough for group rates?
Is there anything anyone else wants to do? Maybe we can have a tentative schedule that we can work with.
Jamie -- I am still working on my arrival on the 19th. The air gods are not favorable on my journey up so I am still working on them, but plan on arriving in QC at least by Tuesday noonish time. There just aren't that many flights that aren't a 10+ hour journey (nothing direct). And I am in touch with Dorothy regarding our room.

I just decided that I was going to have to wake up at 4 am to make sure I would get to the airport on time. Yikes! All the other flights were over night or all day long and it was worth the extra money to get the flight from Montreal to Quebec. Pam - thanks on the schedule.

Thanks for the heads up on the flights that you texted Jamie -- will check them out. ETA: My flights are booked! Arrive Tuesday at 2:44 PM. Still travelling most of Tuesday, but it's because of a long layover in Toronto (it could be worse -- most of them had arrival times after midnight, i.e. Wednesday). But the low price is worth it (yes, I say that now ...).
Anyone else arriving on Tuesday besides me and Jamers?
And I just confirmed with Dorothy for our room. Will PM you the confirmation number.

I'll be getting in Quebec City airport at 6:50 in the evening on Tuesday. If anyone is getting in close to that time, would you like to share a taxi? I'm getting more "let someone else do the heavy lifting" as I get older! ~Phizz

Both Tracy and I have very early flights. If we miss you Tuesday night, we have to have breakfast together on Wednesday.

Does anyone know how far the airport is to the city? Or if they have currency exchange at the airport? guess I can google it.
Maybe Jamers, Phizz & I can scout the area Wednesday for bistros or pubs near the hotel.

According to my Fodor guide, the airport is about 12 miles north of the city
I would be more than happy to go scouting on Wednesday morning!

I've never flown to QC, but I'm sure there will currency exchanges. There will also be ATMs, so if your banking card is compatible (i.e., has the CIRRUS symbol on it), you can withdraw cash.......

Just got back from vacation with the family. I had to call credit card companies to let them know we were going to be traveling ahead of time. It also pays to ask about international transaction fees if you have multiple cards to see which one offers the better deal. And make sure you know the PIN for the cards you are going to be using ahead of time. Silly Mr. Ship didn't. LOL!

Gaby are you going to go to the same place you got your old pounds for money? ~Phizz

Probably, although I ended up going to Wells Fargo to get euros and pounds for our latest trip since they were closed the day that I went to get some. Most WF branches have small amounts of foreign currency.

Dumb question, are the electrical outlets the same as the US? Don't remember if they are.
