I know this particular board has been abandoned, but perhaps some sentinel can tell an avid Horatian where ye gather these days.
I encountered this show a couple of years ago and watched it with my wife. I'm now watching it with my daughter (15) and she likes it quite a lot. I also have a couple of the books.
Cheers!

Hello gideon. You are right to think there is not much going on here these days but there are a hardy few who check in. The days when there were many topics being discussed have sadly gone ..... but if you have questions or thoughts about Hornblower, the Age of Fighting Sail or the Royal Navy, post away and someone will answer.
A small group of us were in Boston recently and enjoyed a day at the Charleston Navy Yard to see the USS Constitution leave for a short anniversary sail, then went on board to admire the paintwork.

Oh, the board is the ghost ship! It took me a minute. And yes, it is, sort of, but not completely.
It's great to know that the shows still get people going. It hit some of us like a typhoon.
