I’m all for doing a virtual get-together this year. I haven’t flown anywhere since the first week in March when I flew to Los Angeles for a pathology meeting at the LA Convention Center. After I got back home, things started shutting down. A neuropathology meeting I’d planned to attend in June turned into a virtual meeting, which worked pretty well.
My husband and I are laying low and just go to work and have weekly Zoom sessions with our kids. Our son Stephen (who was in the Navy) moved to Nashville with his family at the end of May to start medical school (online at the moment) at Meharry Medical College. He, his wife, and their little boy are part of our extended quarantine bubble.
Anyone want to do a group Hamilton watch?
I miss you all! ❤️😊💕

Just yesterday it hit me that by now we would be making plans in earnest for our fall get together. *sigh*
Hopefully we will be able to do so next year.

Just yesterday it hit me that by now we would be making plans in earnest for our fall get together. *sigh* Hopefully we will be able to do so next year. I feel the same way. I had so looked forward to my nephew's wedding and HH2020. I reminisce about Boston last year and how much fun we had. Maybe this will make next year's moot even more special, right? At least we're able to do a few staycations just to get a change of pace and surroundings. I am back at the office full time now and it's nice to not be home bound as much.

Some of us have been chatting the last couple of weeks and have come up with the idea of doing a Virtual Moot for HH2020 We can pick a date to all gather on Zoom and have fun! We can talk, play games, and talk about next year's moot. Estelle mentioned doing a group viewing of Hamilton too. With that said -- what do you all think? We've been doing chats/games on Friday nights (anyone want to join in?) and it's been great to connect, catch up and get our minds off COVID 19 and how life currently is for an hour or two. Please post your comments, ideas and -- if interested -- your availability on any of these dates: September 19 September 26 October 3 October 10 October 17 October 24

I should be around all those dates. We have not been able to zoom successfully due to our older technology and work restrictions but I will investigate if I can call in so I can join you all for a bit.

October 10 could be difficult for me, as the JASNA AGM is virtual that weekend. I'm not sure what activities they have planned for Saturday evenng, so I might be able to get on a Zoom call with you guys (and would love to do so!) but the other dates would work better for me.

Two years ago Florence was making herself a nuisance in the Atlantic and we were getting ready for Savannah 🤩🥰. That was a lovely time.
I will mark all the fall dates in my calendar and am good for them all. The Zoom game nights have been a lot of fun .. apologies for missing the last ones ... and a virtual get together would be the next best thing to actually seeing you all.
Thanks for the suggestion Bucky.

What I posted on FB:
Cross-posting in FB and horatians. A bunch of us chat/do virtual game night on Fridays via Zoom (let me know if you want to join, it's fun!). Since there won't be a moot this year due to COVID, we've come up with doing a virtual moot in October instead. It'll be BYOB, with lots of laughter, reminiscing, talking about next year's moot and trivia! If you would like to participate, advise what dates work the best for you (October 3, 10, 17, 24 or 31) and we'll make it happen!
And am just realizing I forgot to put our beach weekend on my calendar, so October 24 is going to be out for me.
Let's try and get something on the calendar - cannot believe it is mid-September already!

OCTOBER 17 will be the Virtual Moot date. Mark your calendar!
Time to be determined, but it will be around 1:00 PM EST in order to accommodate the UK and West coast participants.
I think once I get the participants I will send a Zoom invite to attendees, as I don't want that info to be posted on a public site since it is my personal Zoom account.
Huzzah folks - excited to be able to do SOMETHING this year!
And if you have something fun or anything to share let me know.

Two weeks before the virtual moot! We will be starting at 1:00 PM on October 17- this will allow attendance by folks in UK and West Coast. Please PM me if you are interested in attending.so I can put you on the list and provide the Zoom link and password. Reminders will go out beforehand. We'll be reminiscing about the movies, men, and moots, chatting and there is a fun trivia game.
Jan, got you on the list! Again -- PM or e-mail me and let me know if you are attending.
