(321) 439-8363. That is my cell phone number for those that need it, just in case your flight is delayed or you need to reach me to call or text. They don't allow you to sit curbside for arriving flights. However, after re-reading the aiport website, even if I go ahead and park, it is free for first 1/2 hour and then $1 for every 1/2 hour (cheap compared to, say, Orlando!). So I will probably end up parking in the lot and going to arriving flights just to make it easier.
26 days to go!

I think one can wear just about anything to the dinner, except beach wear. The dinner is not a formal one. Your bringing your uniform would be great, Jan! I'm also available for rides. My cell number is 615-337-2671. Estelle

My above message didn't exactly turn out correctly, although the pertinent information is there.
And, Pam, the hotel is on Highway 17 South. You can access the hotel parking lot from the left most lane on 17 South.

Pam -- I got a nifty Ninja blender. Do you think we need a back up blender?!! Forgot that Sue is driving, so we should have more than enough cars. I am going to scout out restaurants while I tool up US 17 towards the hotel for a place to eat on Wednesday night. Estelle - just a question. My travel pak directions have me going US 17 North over the bridge over Ashley River towards downtown, then making a left and doubling back on US 17 South to get to the hotel. Does that sound right? Bucky, you can also access the hotel parking lot from the left most lane of US 17 North. The hotel property lies between the northbound and southbound lanes of US 17 and has entrances that can be accessed from either. Estelle

It looks like we'll have four cars available for taking folks around (mine, Pam's, Suanne's, and Tracy's). I have a Sienna minivan, which can take five to six passengers, depending on whether two or three people sit on the third seat. If the other cars can hold up to three passengers, then we'll have enough cars to take people to the attractions. I can't wait to see everyone!!

Thanks Estelle -- I think there are defects in the MapQuest directions I printed then, especially since it also had me bypassing Jacksonville unnecessarily. Going to stick with my AAA directions. Sandra - PM your cell phone # so I have it just in case your flight is delayed. Anticipation! 23 days to go!

Yes I'll have my car. I have a Corolla so can fit 3 others but the back seat will be tight. They always are in compacts. But hopefully nothing is a long drive away.. My tentative plans are to arrive in Charleston about 3 or 3:30 Pm but it depends on what I get done in St Augustine. I lining up the hotels I want to see. I have to contact everyone and see when I can make appointments.

Flight.. check. Hotel... check. Registration... check. I want to go now!! *does happy dance* Yeah! Can you believe that we're only 3 weeks away from today? And I am heading out to my annual Fall sister gathering up in New York next Wednesday so by the time I get back from that, it'll be less than two weeks before I head to Charleston. * sweet* 21 days to go!

Just booked our flight (does happy dance back at Ship). We get in around 7:30 pm Wed. evening. Should be at the hotel in plenty of time for a hand of whist, right? And a sip of port? Otter

Hello, all. Do you remember me, Patty Evans, from Baltimore, Maryland? I have attended some of your cons and always had a wonderful time. This year, I intended to come to the Charleston get together. However, the Horatians website blocked me over and over from accessing the site. I have been trying all spring and summer to get to this site. I only got to it today by registering as a new member, even though I have been on here for probably 6 or 7 years! I SO wanted to attend your Charleston con but now it is too late. I did ask a few of the members via their emails about why I could not get to this site but no one knew why. So I am a day late and a dollar short, so to speak. I am so disappointed about this. Why oh why did the site block me from accessing any of the postings here? Does anyone have an answer for me? And how did the site let me register as a new member when I was already a member for all these years? My old name and password were turned down here. SO disappointing that I will not be able to join you all.
