My husband says I shouldn't bring my phone or iPad on this trip, since they'll be examined when we re-enter the U.S and my anti-Trump bias will be uncovered. Still, I think this trip will be great.

My husband hasn't renewed his passport yet, and who knows how long that will take, since the State Department is understaffed.

My husband and I would like to join the festivities. : ) Cool! Can you believe we are a little over 4 months away?! Still playing around with the flights and whether to fly directly into Quebec. I know I will be flying out of Montreal. Those that are travelling to Montreal after -- are you staying until Tuesday or Wednesday?

Was guessing leaving Quebec on Monday afternoon and then having all day Tuesday in Montreal and leaving on Wednesday. What say you? Who besides Bucky and me is staying?

Just to let all of you coming from the States know, if you want to buy some Canadian cash for your spending money, now is a good time. The Canadian dollar is under .73 at the moment......Could buy a couple more beers......

Here is a really nice hotel in Montreal: www.lesaintsulpice.com/ It is right behind Notre Dame Cathedral in Old Montreal.

I like staying until Wednesday. The flights are actually cheaper on Wednesday!

I haven't really had much time to really think about details yet. I think I'll PM you Bucky and Jamers and get my butt in gear.

I have been checking air fares over the last month and they range from $384 to $562. Average out in the early-mid $400 range. I did the range for Orlando and it's cheaper to fly from there than Philadelphia or New York. For LAX there are flights for $521 with a one stop on the way and a nonstop on the way home. For Santa Barbara - it jumps to over $725 with 2 stops both ways.

Air Canada has had some specials but they were either too early to book (as we didn't have any definitive dates/hotels, etc.) or the dates didn't stretch. I can fly to Montreal way cheaper but for convenience sake that I will fly directly into Quebec City and then fly out of Montreal. Depending on what kind of deal I can get is what I will end up doing! Definitely flying on Tuesday and returning the following Wednesday though.

I believe they are Tuesday, September 19 to Monday, September 24. I think most of the info is in the first post of this thread.

I have been thinking about our LRC game - so, should we use US quarters or Canadian quarters? I also got 2 decks of cards and an Uno game. They are normally in my backpack, so we can play or not play. 😊
Also, I am thinking about what Estelle said with the iPad and all - to me, I am sure we can bring them, but better safe than sorry, so I am just bringing my cellphone. I also got two different water bottles. I was looking at Tracy's post and have Amazon points, so I got one of those foldable water bottles and a brita filtered water bottle for free. I thought, why not?

I thought, why not? Well good question on the LRC game ... I guess whatever you have on hand? I usually bring my bag'o quarters with me. I can also bring Apples to Apples (the game we played on the patio in Erie), and a card game called Phase 10 (kind of like a running rummy game). I also have that game I made - kind of like a HH version of celebrity name game.
