Re-watching North and South is always an EXCELLENT idea! As I shoved in my copy in the dvd player, my gentleman acquaintance cried out 'Not North and South again, I find it very tiresome' (and then went on a spiel about how he had been made to read it at school and had found Mr Hale to be the most selfish and annoying characters in literature...). I replied 'Yeah, but it's got Richard Armitage in it. Brooding. For about four hours'. And pressed play. Mr. Hale certainly is selfish and annoying, but..... yeah, Richard Armitage.

Mrs. Hale seems to me a little whiny too. Poor Margaret!

You may remember a few years ago a fluttering in the universe when a documentary aired in the UK narrated by Richard. It was subsequently shown on a Canadian network but with a different actor providing the voiceover. What a disappointment!
Out of curiosity I looked for it on Youtube just now. The 55 minute original version is there so if you think you'll be able to bear it, search for The Great Sperm Race on Youtube.
I'm definitely not going to do any housework this evening.

I've found it but I don't know how to attach it. Also it's v small I think I might have a larger version on my external hard drive. I'll have a look either tonight or tomorrow night.

But it's rather nice that he's committed to disseminating knowledge. (that counts as a bad joke; the inappropriate one is considerably worse) Anyhoo, I popped in because I've just watched The Vicar of Dibley for the first time---he's so cute and giggly in it! It's a totally different facet of his acting! So squeeee!

Have you seen Richard in The Golden Hour? He plays Dr. Alex Track who works on a helicopter medical team. It has been a while since I watched my dvds but the episodes are on Youtube ....... what isn't on Youtube these days I wonder.
There are lovely screen shots of him in a white t-shirt, stethoscope around his neck, ready to give aid and comfort.

AND AND AND IT GETS BETTER! He said in an interview somewhere that the character he's played that is the most like him is Harry Kennedy! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

He certainly has a great grasp of the angsty hero/anti-hero, but I'd lovvvvvve to see him in a full on comedic role. Aren't there any un-made Nora Ephron screenplays kicking around?
