I think the best high tea day would be Friday or Saturday then. Preference? It probably has to tie into the citadel tour that we are able to book. I have told the folks at the Frontenac that I will get back with them as soon as possible and that will have 15 people.

I am nervous and excited and scared and overjoyed and overwhelmed, all at once - what about other people?

I assume that if they go, she will as well, so we are back to 15.

Hey everybody: Two of the potential activities need booking sooner rather than later. Please post here or reply to the email you should have gotten from me if you are interested in either or both. We have to secure bookings with a credit card, so everyone who says yes will need to follow through on reimbursing the folks who do that. Friday at 2:00 or 2:15 Saturday at 2:15 ($41.95 w/o champagne; $59 w/champagne; plus tax and service charges. Presumably Canadian dollars) menu www.fairmont.com/frontenac-quebec/pdf/lcf-champlain-tea-winter2017/Nightfall tour at the Citadel Thursday, Friday, or Saturday evening at 8:30 (90 minutes, lots of walking, mostly outside. $22, presumably Canadian dollars) www.lacitadelle.qc.ca/en/activities/visit-at-nightfall.html

They used to have one, many years ago.......I suspect they don't now, but it is worth asking......

Just remember, you will be walking on a lot of cobblestone, so watch the turned ankles..... (I've worn jeans, golf shirts and running shoes in restaurants which say smart casual here in Canada and never had a problem......I suspect this is posted to give them an out if someone turned up a complete mess.....they are catering to the well heeled tourist, who normally wear comfy shoes......)

I have told the folks at the Frontenac that I will get back with them as soon as possible and that will have 15 people. I think planning the two things for the same day is a good idea. The morning is still wide open and it gives us a couple of days for ranging farther afield. Francesco at the Citadel said that any of the days are available for a private tour, so let's get tea squared away and go from there.

That sounds great. I'll start a couple of other threads to get headcounts for the walking tour and the tour to the falls. Once we have the tea/citadel date pinned down we can look into the other two.

I think coming up with a schedule is good since some of these times overlap or are at the same time.
So, the high tea will probably be on Friday? And 16 people just to be sure.
