Somehow I have missed this. I always dreamed to have Horatians in or near Savannah. Alas, I got caught up in other Regency things, life, children, art shows and etc. I see that this part of Horatians is not on FaceBook, so I need to re-engage. How splendid!
I highly recommend Ships of the Sea, the Pirate House restaurant (even if it is corny, it dates back to the 1700s), and Fort Pulaski. I also recommend the Juliette Gordon Low birthplace house. She was a very interesting woman. The Crab Shack on Tybee is great, too.
Have a great time!

Bummer! We have plenty of room in case you end up being able to come. We tried to cover both bases (here and on FB).
If anyone is needing a lift from the airport, please PM me your flight information so I can add it to the list.
I have gotten Blue Moon, Leinenkugal Summer Shanty and Grapefruit Shanty, Bud Light and Berry-Ritas (which I mix with diet sprite or Fresca). I had planned on getting some Sam Adams' summer variety pack but can't find it (summer isn't over retailers!) and I don't like the Fall variety pack (pumpkin and coffee beer!?!!!).
Stocked up on crackers, tortilla chips and Chex Mix so no need to buy anything similar. I have some easy delicious hot dip recipes for our game nights!
As posted before, there is a Walmart and Target off of Hwy 80 going into Tybee Island from Savannah as well as smaller ones on the island, as well as a liquor store.

My own fault I missed it, and I just went on vacation so can't tuck this one in. Have a GREAT time! If there's a next year in Louisville, we'll have to do dinner.

Anyone have any requests on magazine beach reads? I usually get a tabloid and woman’s magazine for reading on the beach so my iPad doesn’t get messed up. I thought we could have like 4 or 5 magazines to look at for the house. My faves are First Magazine, People, Woman’s World Weekly and the tabloid that has the most interesting headlines. I have resolved the issue of electronic devices for beach/pool reading. Gallon-size ziplock bags solve all sorts of problems! Probably still shouldn't actually dunk the thing in the drink on purpose, but it keeps the sand and the inadvertent splashes at bay.

Well, my Kobo is actually waterproof. But I will likely bring something on paper.

Just sent you a PM with our flight details (same as what I texted you awhile back, but just so you have everything in one place).
Looking forward to seeing you all!

I knew what you meant. I will PM my flight info as well. UGH. Just now realized I booked a PM flight instead of an AM flight!!! Not getting in till 10:29 PM. There's no way to change it (well it would cost at least $400). Sorry guys.

And thank you for the recommendations. Having been a (not the best of badge earners) Girl Scout for a few years, and my Mom having been a (beloved) Girl Scout leader, as well as a Girl Guide in Scotland, I would love to see the Juliette Gordon Low house... if only to honor my Mom (and maybe dwell on the badges I could earn THESE days, as opposed to the limited opportunities when Wilma Flintstone and I were buddies).

In fact, when I booked our latest Disney staycation I thought I had booked Sat-Tues but instead it started Fri! By the time I realized I had messed up the dates it was past the cancellation deadline. Oops. Am hoping that you can convince a customer service rep to change it without penalty. If not, we'll be glad to come get you whenever you end up arriving. Please keep us posted!

I can help with airport pickups, too. Well, as long as they’re after 4PM on Wed. Hoping to get a 9 AM start and allow for a lunch break.
