Season 7 premiere last night........Murdoch got wet.......watched it several times through the joy of time shifting......

New Series Episode 2.......Tour de Murdoch......Murdoch in an Edwardian bike outfit! A chase......on bikes........good fun (except I hid my eyes for the gooey scenes in the morgue.......I'm such a wuss....)

The Artful Detective  I could see why the UK Spooks became MI5 over here but there's nothing wrong with Murdoch Mysteries. I hope y'all get to see the episode about the hockey player. I think it's my favourite. (The Charleston Effect is still affecting my speech.)

I think it's my favourite. (The Charleston Effect is still affecting my speech.) The hockey episode is great. Especially the part where Our Hero pooh-poohs the idea of people paying money to sit and watch other people playing a game instead of playing games themselves. In fact, all those little commentaries on late 20th-early 21st century society are great. |

I was channel hopping tonight and came across the hockey episode on CITY's Vancouver station.......I must admit it is one of my favourites too.....especially the comments about professionals destroying the game.......that and at the end when they were playing the pick up game in the street...."WAGON!".....the beginnings of a Canadian tradition.......

The next episode is based in Newfoundland which is where Jonny Harris is from. Here is a short clip of him screeching in Yannick Bisson. It is very cute and not the traditional ceremony at all......... Cheers. |

Well, it should involve a full cod rather than a frozen filet with a tongue being held on to it......you are supposed to kiss it on the lips while looking it in the eye, apparently.....sounds disgusting......but then so is eating cod tongues and seal flipper pie, as far as I'm concerned.....the one time I was in Newfoundland, I managed to avoid the ritual......I did, however, sample Screech......
BTW, Newfoundland is a wonderful place to visit.....I haven't seen much of it and I'd love to back.....among other things, I took a cruise on a tall ship out of St John's Harbour and saw humpback whales breaching.......
