omg! This is so true... the well meaning old ladies are the worst... (I actually wrote a script for mrs Marple re-imagined as a scary trailer, but I wasn't able to find the dvd to actually make it into one...)

At it again.....this time there was a get together at a pub in Toronto to watch an episode with some cast members......There were 4 in attendence, Thomas Craig (Brackenreid), Arwen Humphries (Mrs. Brackenreid), Lachlan Murdoch (Higgins), and Kristian Bruun (Slugger Jackson).......managed to get a picture with Thomas Craig and Kristian Bruun:

OMG! This just fires up the presumption that canadians are just too nice a folk to even exist... The other Murdoch episode mentioned PRIME MINISTER giving insight to the historical events in the episode... the episode before that, had one of the dragons in Dragon's den Canada as a guest actor... and you're just casually having a pint with international starts in the local pub...
Why aren't people talking about Canada more?

And there is the promise of more of these pub nights, although not with Thomas Craig as he will have returned to England by then.....they finish filming this season next week........the pub is co-owned by a guy who used to work on the set.....Thomas Craig has proclaimed the pub as the Murdoch fans' local....
Cheers

I'm just wondering, how far back are we over here with this series? The last episode, we got had doctor Odgen back, she's now getting a divorce and into (forensic) psychology...

Ok, that's great! They are showing Murdoch every weekday, so I suppose we'll catch up soon This is starting to affect me, I had a Murdoch dream the other night. We were investigating a murder while on a cross atlantic steam ship, I'm not exactly sure if I was dr. Odgen in the dream, or myself, no romance went on but a very mystical murder investigation... Someone had been killed on the ship, but the body was found only after the voyage was in the middle of atlantic, so no turning back. It was sort of scary because, the murderer was obviously loose on the ship, and figured another murder might be on it's way... Unfortunately I woke up before conclusion, but if anyone needs fanfic ideas, this dream is up to grab

omg! is it the one with bombs? I just saw it, unfortunately missed the first half, but got to see most of it. I really love steam ships... and what I liked about that episode was the strange feeling of tranquility during sinking... sort of, normal think, everyone please step into the boats please, not the "big bang" like with spielberg's titanic; most ships sink slowly, and time to evacuate, (like in that hornblower rice ship) it was the titanic tragedy no-one realized how big the hull break actually was, not enough life boats because it was unsinkable...

Good news, the CBC has announced there will be a 9th season of Murdoch.......almost unheard of for a Canadian series that doesn't have Hockey in its title......
Cheers

We just saw Season 7 (got the disks via Netflix).
"It's the Mole People!!"
My husband and I did NOT like the very last scene of the very last episode (no spoilers) but were very relieved to see a few reassuring pictures coming over the Murdoch Mysteries Facebook page.
